Metal Machining from QMP

Custom machining needs are not turned down based on tolerance or quantity. QMP specializes in close tolerances to .0002 and manufacturers high quantities from 10 to over 10,000,000 parts. QMP can manufacture screw machine parts from 1/8" to 7/8" and CNC parts from .015 to 6" using the latest CNC machining and manufacturing equipment. No matter what tolerance or quantity, each precision machining project receives thorough quality control and top-notch customer service.

Machined Product Materials:

Here’s a list of materials and their properties that QMP uses to cut and customize a multitude of machined parts:
  • Steel: One of the more common materials, so it can be used as a component in buildings, tools, modes of transportation, and appliances.
  • Stainless Steel: Does not corrode, rust, or stain as regular steel does, so it’s best used for parts where resistance to these elements are needed. Grade and finish depend on the environment the part will be used.
  • Aluminum: Low density metal that’s able to resist corrosion. Mostly used in the aerospace and transportation industry.
  • Copper: Can be used as a conductor for heat and electricity as well as a building material.
  • Brass: Mostly used in low friction applications such as locks, gears, doorknobs, ammunition, plumbing, or electrical.
  • Bronze: A hard and tough alloy that consists of copper and tin and typically used for boat and ship fittings because of its resistance to salt water corrosion.
  • Plastics: A synthetic material that can be molded into a wide variety of applications.
